Pensiunea Valea Mariei Ranca

Ranca resort is situated at an altitude of 1,600 m, growing, ski slopes are located on Mount Cornesu, with varying degrees of difficulty. Abundant snow during the year, and natural beauty of the place have made the resort an important landmark of regional tourism. To arrive at Ranca, you must get into town Novaci first and then go through the 18 kilometers of asphalt road to European standards on the highest road in Romania called Transalpina. Also, your path may continue until the area Transalpina Sebes, thus reaching from Oltenia in Transylvania or vice versa. The resort is situated on the southern slopes of Parang Mountains at an altitude of 1,600 meters, is making access by car or bicycle (the resort can practice mountain bike in good condition).

Ranca resort has three ski slopes, all located on Mount Cornescu with varying degrees of average difficulty;
they are equipped with lifts and nocturne (length of ski runs is between 400m and about 800m). In winter you can ski the slopes of the resort, and summer can choose mountain routes: Peak doll, Parang, etc. Great. In winter it is necessary for cars to be equipped with wheels winter tires and rear wheel drive cars it is recommended to have extra and chains;

This makes the resort Ranca is the highest mountain resort of Romania where the snow meet long year in Romania.
